What are Access Platforms?
Access Platforms from Apollo Scaffold Services are suitable for a wide range of uses, from mobile access under bridges to platforms on oil rigs, they have the capability to span massive gaps to make up bridges across rivers. Compared against conventional scaffolding, they offer significant benefits.
Our access platforms are quickly assembled thanks to our IP protected spigot fitting design. Erection time is significantly faster than using conventional scaffold methods.
Size options
Our 750mm X-Beams are available in 1m increments up to 8m, as well as a half metre version (575mm long). Spigoted together, these beams can construct platforms over 20m in length or in complex shapes to suit a specific application, with bays of 1.3m increments in width.
This width dimension allows for standard Buffalo board (2440x1220mm) to fit over the top to provide a stable and level working area.

Platform suspension
To suspend these platforms, we have a range of connections that allow the platform to be hoisted up into place: Long Flat Shackles, Chains with adjusters, hoists etc.
Our platform and cradle departments will be happy to hire winches, chains and suspension equipment. We can quote for erection on site if required, depending on availability.
